Take a bite out of Portland Taco Week, June 1-7, 2026! Check out the 30+ specialty tacos at Portland restaurants.
PDX Taco Week celebrates the culinary talent found in Portland’s taquerias, restaurants and fusion eateries. More than 30 locations are serving up specialty tacos in and around Portland.
Participating eateries are fixing inventive taco creations, many of which are designed just for this week. Choose from traditional tacos to new takes on the classic meal. There are also a few vegan options.
Tacos are $5: either one for $5 or two for $5, depending on the restaurant. Open days and hours vary by location. Be sure to check before you travel.

Chicken Tinga a Taco: Chicken tinga, cotija cheese, pickled onion, and cilantro served with avocado crema and habanero salsa.

General Tso Chicken Tacos: Crispy fried chicken strips tossed in general tso sauce, asian slaw, sesame seeds, sambal aioli and green onions.

Tacos Picadillos: Two tacos filled with ground beef simmered with onions and tomatoes, topped with house-made guacamole, cabbage and cotija cheese. One is finished with salsa verde and the other with salsa roja.

Taco for Dogs: A slow-roasted carrot with honey glaze, served atop a bed of broccoli and apple slaw tossed in a peanut and coconut milk sauce. The taco shell is made with signature cheddar treat dough.

Al la Pastor Pork Tenderloin Steam Boa Taco: The pork tenderloin is marinated in a slurry of toasted chiles, achiote paste, garlic, pineapple and spices then grilled. The meat is stuffed into handmade “taco-shaped” boa bun and topped with a pineapple kimchi serrano chile slaw.
