As winter blankets the city with its chilly embrace, there’s a magical spot waiting to be discovered by families and friends. The new winter ice rink is brimming with family-friendly activities and festive charm.

Here are the details about this new holiday happening.
Portland Winter Ice Rink and Woodsy Winter Village
The Portland Winter Ice Rink and Woodsy Winter Village is open through February 11 from Wednesday through Sunday. Hours are 3-10 p.m. Wednesday-Friday and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday-Sunday.
The covered ice rink welcomes both seasoned skaters and those taking their first glide on the ice.
The fun continues in the enchanting Woodsy Winter Village adjacent to the rink. Here visitors can explore a pop-up marketplace featuring local artisans, indulge in delicious food, sip on warm beverages and unwind in a cozy lounge. The village adds a festive flair to the ice skating experience, making it a perfect outing for families and friends. The village is open noon to 8 p.m. in December.
Skate Sessions and Tickets
To accommodate everyone’s schedule, the ice rink offers six skating sessions per day. Whether you’re an early riser or a night owl, there’s a time slot just for you.
Here’s the skate session schedule:
Wednesday-Friday
- SESSION 1 | 3:00 pm – 5:30 pm
- SESSION 2 | 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
- SESSION 3 | 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
Saturday-Sunday
- SESSION 1 Family Skate | 10:00 am – 11:30 am
- SESSION 2 | 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
- SESSION 3 | 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
- SESSION 4 | 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
- SESSION 5 | 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
- SESSION 6 | 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm
After each session, the ice rink is resurfaced and prepared for the next round of skaters.
Tickets
Admission is $20 for adults and $12 for youth under 12. These prices include skate rental. You can also add on the Bobby the Seal skating aid for $10 if it’s your first time on the ice or you could use a helping hand.
It’s important to note that there are no cash sales at the venue. Only card or Apple Pay are accepted.
Discount Admission
On Wednesdays and Thursdays during the 8-10 p.m. session, get $5 off tickets. This drops the price to $15 for adults and $7 for youth. This deal is available for walk-up admission only.
Parking
There are several parking options in downtown Portland. Parking is available onsite for $4 per hour, or $9 for the day. The entrance is on SW Naito Pkwy under the bridge.
