Take a drive to the Oregon Garden Resort for the annual Silverton Christmas Market, featuring a dazzling light display, German inspired market and family-friendly activities.
This beloved holiday tradition has taken place for more than a decade. Now held at the Oregon Garden Resort, the event incorporates a walk-through light display with the charm of a German Christmas market.
Here are the details about the 2024 event:
2024 Silverton Christmas Market
The Silverton Christmas Market is November 21-December 31, 2024 from 5-9 p.m. The market is closed November 28 and December 24-25.
Guests get to stroll along a one-way path draped in more than one million lights. The light displays range from immersive storybook creations to magical lit paths with trees full of brilliant lights. Around each bend is a new delight and many designated photo areas for you to snap a memorable pic with family and friends.
Along the route is a traditional German Christmas Market with handmade gifts. At the market, you can sip on warm gluhwein or cocoa by a fire, take a ride down the snowless tubing hill and listen to live music in the Biergarten.
At the market, you’ll find authentic German goods, including with collectible mugs, imported handcrafted German nutcrackers, smokers and ornaments along with local handmade creations.
The holiday event also has a full lineup of live music in the family-friendly biergarten every night.
Santa will be at the event for pictures and meet and greets every night from November 21-December 23. You may also catch a glimpse of Santa’s counterpart, Krampus, on select nights.
To eat, choose from traditional German foods and family favorites along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Also, well-behaved, leashed dogs are allowed at the event! The only spaces they cannot enter are the indoor dining areas.
Tickets
All guests are encouraged to buy tickets online in advance. Once tickets sell out outline, there are no tickets available at the door. Food, drink sand vendor booths are cashless. Make sure you bring your card.
General admission includes access to the walk-through light display, vendor market and family-friendly biergarten with live music. The snowless tubing hill and parking are available for an additional fee.
Here is a breakdown of ticket pricing by day:
- November 29-30: $22 for adults and $8 for kids 6-12. Kids 5 and under attend for free.
- Monday-Thursday: $15 for adults and $5 for kids 6-12. Kids 5 and under attend for free.
- Friday-Saturday, November 21 and the week of Christmas: $20 for adults and $8 for kids 6-12. Kids 5 and under attend for free.
- Sunday: $18 for adults and $8 for kids 6-12. Kids 5 and under attend for free.
Snowless tubing is available for $5 for two trips down the hill and $9 for four trips down the hill. Tickets for tubing are available online and onsite.
Parking
Parking is free at the event’s nearby off-site parking lots: Robert Frost Elementary, 201 Westfield St. and Silverton High School, 1456 Pine St. and Silverton Middle School, 714 Schlador St. A shuttle picks you up and drops you off right at the gate. The first shuttle picks up at 4:45 p.m. and the last shuttle leaves the resort at 9 p.m.
General parking at the resort is $12 and must be purchased online in advance. VIP parking next to the entrance is $20.
If you’d like to stay the night, the Oregon Garden Resort also offers an overnight package. Prices vary.
The event is at the Oregon Garden Resort, 895 W. Main St. in Silverton. Depending on where you live in Portland, it takes about an hour to get there.
