Every year, Portland Bureau of Transportation opens Portland streets to a special kind of traffic during Sunday Parkways.
This summer program lets bikers, walkers and rollers stroll Portland neighborhoods together like one big mobile block party. It is family friendly and always draws big crowds of Portlanders looking to be active and enjoy the perks of pedestrian-only pathways.
In 2026, there are four events in Portland. Each event has its own route. Along the routes you’ll see pit stops at parks and green spaces. Each stop has its own activities, such as food vendors, entertainment, games, live music and more.
There is no starting or finishing point. You can join the route wherever it is most convenient for you. Each event has a map and a designated path that bikers and walkers follow.
Here are the details on the 2026 Sunday Parkways.
