Update: 2023 information coming soon!
Have you ever seen a sunflower field in bloom? This isn’t a common sight in the Pacific Northwest, but every year Packer Orchards grows an incredible sunflower field open for picking. If you’re looking for a fun road trip to a picture perfect destination, make sure you get to this sunflower field before the bloom is over.
Field access passes are $8 per person. The pass is required for everyone age 3 and up. It includes entrance to the sunflower fields, one sunflower bloom, and access to play areas and activities. Tickets can be purchased onsite or online.
The sunflower field at Packer Orchards will be open August 5-21, Thursday through Monday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Once you’re finished in the field, head in to the Packer Orchards farm store for a full bakery serving all your favorite fresh baked goods, homemade jams, fresh fruits, and event ice cream treats with handmade waffle cones. This place has been a family-owned orchard and bakery since 1921, so you know it has got to be good.
The farm asks that you leave your dog a home. Additional sunflowers are $2 per stem.
The Packer Orchards sunflower field is located at 3020 Thomsen Rd. in Hood River, Oregon. For more information, visit the farm website at packerorchards.com.
