SW Strolls invites you to explore the SW Capitol Highway infrastructure project along with existing urban trails maintained by Portland Bureau of Transportation and SW Trails.
Here are the details about these free upcoming community events.
SW Strolls: Join the Monthly Community Walk
On the first Saturday of the month, enjoy nature with other community members along the #7 urban trail, then take a stroll along the newly paved and accessible section of SW Capitol Highway, between Barbur and Multnomah boulevards.
The full route is three miles. You can join the entire walk or choose to participate in a section of it. Here is the schedule, including two route options:
- 9 a.m. Meet at Little Gabriel Park in the southern parking lot off SW Canby Street. This is Section A on the map below and is a 1.2-mile urban trail.
- 10 a.m. Meet at World Foods, 9845 SW Barbur Blvd., for Section B of the walk, a 1.8-mile paved and accessible sidewalk. If meeting at World Foods, park in the business lot across the street.
- 11 a.m. Enjoy a social hour in Multnomah Village after the stroll.
