2024 Target Car Seat Trade-In Event

Need a new carseat? Trade in your old one and get a new one during this special Target event.

Every year, Target hosts a special trade-in event for shoppers to get rid of their old car seats and get a deal on new seats for their little ones.

Here are the details about the 2024 event:

From April 14-27, trade in any car seat and you can get 20% off bonus. The bonus applies to a new car seat, car seat base, travel system or stroller.

You can also use this discount on select baby home gear, including playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, bouncers, walkers, entertainers and jumpers.

Target will accept all types of car seats, including infant, convertible, car seat bases, harness or booster seats and car seats that are expired or damaged.

Target takes all of these unwanted car seats and recycles them. The program keeps old car seats out of the landfill, and also keeps people from giving away old car seats that may be less safe to other parents.

Materials from the old car seats are used to create new products, such as pallets, plastic buckets and construction materials such as steel beams and carpet padding.

How It Works

Before you head to your nearest Target, here’s an important step to take. To get this deal you will need to join Target Circle. It is free to join and gives you access to earnings on every purchase, special deals, a special birthday discount and more.

Download the Target app, log in and have it ready when you visit Target. You can also access your Circle account from your phone’s browser.

Here’s a breakdown of how the Target Car Seat Trade-In Event works:

Bring an old car seat or base to a nearby Target and drop it in the designated box inside the store.
Open the Target app and scan the code on the recycle box. Talk to a Team Member in Guest Services if you need help.
The bonus will be in your Wallet in the Target app.
Place your order online or scan your barcode at the register.

You can redeem this offer twice. Your bonus can be applied to both in-store and online purchases through May 11, 2024. This bonus can be combined with other item offers.
