The streets of downtown Hillsboro become a canvas during the La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival. Tualatin Valley Creates is bringing together talented artists that will make the sidewalks come to life with their incredible creations.
Tualatin Valley Creates serves Washington County’s 15 cities and unincorporated areas with arts, culture, heritage, and humanities events and programs. The organization’s chalk art festival invites all ages to celebrate a weekend of community and art.
Here’s the details about the 2023 festival.

The La Strada dei Pastelli Chalk Art Festival is July 15-16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The annual multicultural event in Hillsboro is free to attend.
You’ll see nationally recognized and emerging visual artists use bold, colorful chalk to create larger-than-life drawings on the street.
This year, 20+ professional artists from around the country are creating 10-foot wildlife scenes to match the theme Creative Critters.
Along with the visual art exhibits, local performing artists will fill the air with music from the festival’s main stage. Watch performances while enjoying food and beverages.
Local art vendors will line the streets selling unique creations. Hands-on activities for kids are provided by local nonprofit organizations.
The chalk festival is taking place at the Downtown Hillsboro Cultural Arts District, 100-399 E. Main Street in Hillsboro. For more information, visit the Tualatin Valley Creates website.
