The Festival of Lights: Diwali Celebration in Lake Oswego
The Diwali Celebration is Sunday, October 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lakeridge High School in Lake Oswego. Enjoy an afternoon of cultural exchange, entertainment and delicious food at this free, family-friendly event.
Activities
Here are the activities planned for the free event:
- Music and Dance: Get ready to relive the Bollywood energy with the sensational DJ Prashant.
- Cultural Performances: Immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Indian culture through performances by the talented Rhythms Dance Academy and community artists.
- Arts and Crafts: All ages can create with iSandbox Factory, Lake Oswego’s premier STEAM-based activity hub.
- Mehendi Artists: Adorn your hands with beautiful, traditional henna designs. Mehendi artists will be on hand to create intricate and stunning designs.
- Vendors: Explore a variety of vendors offering unique items, including clothing, jewelry, beauty products, quilts and home goods.
- Indian Snacks and Sweets: Treat your taste buds to authentic Indian delicacies by The Big Elephant Kitchen, a family-owned and operated Fijian/Indian restaurant in Portland.
- Custom Photo Booth: Capture the memories of this special day by taking your best selfie in front of our custom photo area.
