This December, soak in the magic of the season at these Portland drive-through Christmas lights.
From the city to the suburbs, a handful of beloved events go all out with glowing arches, animated scenes and tunnels of light. You’ll find everything from classic reindeer and candy-cane themes to whimsical surprises like dinosaurs, sea creatures and glowing archways.
Pack a thermos of cocoa and turn on your favorite holiday tunes as you cruise through these festive displays.
Here’s a list of drive through Christmas light displays in the Portland area.
Drive-Through Christmas Lights in and around Portland

The Lights at Peacock Lane
Since 1932, each house on Peacock Lane homes have been adorned with not only beautiful sparkling lights, but also stunningly life-sized cutouts of Santa, the Grinch, Jack Skellington (my favorite) and a plethora of other colorful characters. It is a great drive-through event everyone will enjoy.
This event is free to visit. Peacock Lane is open December 15-31, 2025. Keep in mind, Peacock Lane has designated car-free nights on December 19 and 20.
The street is at SE Peacock Ln in Portland, between SE Stark and SE Belmont.

Winter Wonderland
Every holiday season, Portland International Raceway transforms its track with 250 light displays and animated scenes at this drive-through holiday attraction.
Tickets are on sale now. The attraction is open November 28-December 31, 2025 (Open Christmas Eve and Day and New Year’s Eve and Day!).
Portland International Raceway is located at 1940 N Victory Blvd in Portland.

Lightopia
Lightopia, Hillsboro’s free drive through light display, features an awe-inspiring number of lights and light vignettes ranging from funny to dazzling.
This event is free, View the schedule and route. Lightopia is open December 9-28, 2025 (Closed Christmas Eve and Day). There is a bike night on December 15.
Lightopia is at Gordon Faber Recreation Complex (Hillsboro Stadium) at 4450 NE Century Blvd. in Hillsboro.
Starkwood Neighborhood Lights
Celebrate the the 60-year tradition of holiday lights in the Starkwood neighborhood. From December 1-31, the street, along with its three culs-de-sac, feature fun props and sparkling lights.
The street is at SE Stark St. and SE 111th Ave. in Portland.

Christmas on the Campground
The annual event has a life-size nativity, thousands of lights and the tallest decorated Christmas tree in Southeast Portland. The display is ideal for a drive by visit. It is viewable from the public streets outside the property.
Christmas on the Campground is on from dusk till dawn November 28-December 31, 2025. Keep in mind, the display opens its gates on December 13 and 14 for a free family event.
The display is at Apostolic Faith Church at 5414 SE Duke Street in Southeast Portland.

Christmas on Franklin Street
See more than 200,000 lights, 45 holiday figures, 25 animated trees, five nativity scenes at 10 participating homes on Franklin Street during Christmas on Franklin.
Christmas on Franklin Street features holiday lights and music December 1-30, 2025.
The event is at 4616 NW Franklin Street in Vancouver.

Holiday Sparkles at Powerland Heritage Park
Take a drive south for this free drive-through display. Enjoy holiday lights and decorations from the comfort of your car as you drive through acres of holiday lights and decorations at Holiday Sparkles at Powerland Heritage Park. You can also visit Santa.
The light display is free to visit. Monetary donations are accepted. It is open weekends only December 6-December 21.
Powerland Heritage Park is located at 3995 Brooklake Rd NE in Salem.
