I’ve gathered a list of trick-or-treat events happening in the Portland area. Events are scheduled throughout Halloween weekend.
If you want to stay within walking distance of your home, check out the Halloween treat map. No more second guessing where to go or who is giving out treats. You can see exactly which neighbors are ready to greet you with a bowl of goodies.
The Halloween treat map displays a map of your neighborhood with icons stating what surprises each house has in store, including candy and decorations.

Davis Graveyard
October 1-31
Looking for a totally free attraction? Head to Milwaukie for the Davis Graveyard. Started in 1998, this is a free Halloween display viewed from fence on the creators’ home. Every prop and display seen in the yard is handmade.
The display will be lit every night from October 1-31. On week nights, Monday-Thursday, the display will have lights only from dusk to 10 p.m. On Friday and Saturday, the lights and full effects will be on until 11 p.m., and 10 p.m. on Sundays.
Davis Graveyard is located at 8703 SE 43rd Ave. in Milwaukie.

Halloween on Franklin Street
October 1-31
Head north for this interactive Halloween display in Vancouver. Towering 12-foot skeletons, spooky witches on brooms, tombstones along with lights, music, and special effects come alive every night from 6-9 p.m.
On October 31, trick-or-treaters can get a special goodie from 5-9 p.m. Check out a full list of local trick-or-treat events.
The Halloween display is located at 4616 NW Franklin Street in Vancouver. It is free to attend.

BeauHaunt
October 12-31 (select nights)
If you’re searching for a Halloween experience that’s more adventure than terror, BeauHaunt, Lake Oswego’s free pirate-themed attraction, is ready to welcome you aboard. This family-friendly, pirate-themed haunt features five free attractions in Lake Oswego.

Spirit of Halloweentown
September 27-October 31
St. Helens, Oregon, transforms into Halloweentown for a citywide celebration like no other. Partake in family-friendly activities like the Haunted Hotel, spooky shuttle ride, alien interview, meet actors from Halloween-themed movies and shows, more attractions.
The event has all its popular attractions open on Saturdays and Sundays with others open on weekdays, too. Admission ranges from free to $40.
The event starts at the St. Helens Courthouse, 275 Strand St. in St. Helens. Learn more about the Spirit of Halloweentown.

West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta
October 19
How well do pumpkins float? Find out as people test their boating skills in giant pumpkins at the Tualatin Lake of the Commons in Tualatin. The pumpkins used as floating vessels at the event are 1,000 pounders grown by the Pacific Giant Vegetable Growers. There are also vendors and family-friendly activities.
This event is free to attend and takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Tualatin Lake at the Commons, 8325 SW Nyberg St. in Tualatin. Learn more about the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta.

Powerland Halloween: A Wizard’s Challenge
October 11-26 (weekends only)
The quest begins with a dragon named Dream Bean, whose wild dreams are threatening to turn the enchanted car barn into a swirl of chaos. The Trolleyton Academy of Magical Arts is recruiting new wizards to embark on a quest. Learn spells, solve mysteries and gently wake the dragon before her spooky dreams become reality.
Tickets include a wizard’s journey, steam engine and trolley rides and crafts. Tickets are $19 for adults (13+), $15 for children 2-12 and free for children under 2.

The Pirates of Pinehurst
October 1-31
Every October, a spirited band of neighbors in Sherwood, Oregon, transforms Pinehurst Court into a pirate’s paradise. Explore the special free attraction, The Pirates of Pinehurst. Stroll through a decorated cul de sac, go on a hunt for pirate’s gold and watch the pirate show on select nights.
All activities are free. The Pirates of Pinehurst is at SW Pinehurst Ct., Sherwood, Oregon.

Headless Horseman Halloween Train Ride
October 25-26
The Headless Horseman Halloween Train, organized by the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad, offers a unique and festive experience for families and friends. Ride on a vintage locomotive through Yacolt, Washington, as you anticipate the appearance of the mystery figure emerging from the forest.
Tickets are $22 for adults, $21 for military and 60+, and $16 for kids ages 3-12. Children 2 and under attend for free.
