Fastelavn Nordic Kids Carnival
On February 11, enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly activities, snacks, beverages and entertainment. Fastelavn is a Danish holiday marking the transition from winter to spring.
During Fastelavn, children and adults alike dress up in masks and costumes and celebrate a day of fun. Find out who will be crowned king and queen of cats.
Here are the carnival activities:
- Dress up for the costume contest.
- Play games.
- Make fastelavnsris, decorative birch twigs.
- Hit the candy out of the barrel.
Fastelavn Nordic Kids Carnival is Sunday, February 11 from 2 to 5 p.m. General admission is $10 per person. The event takes place at Nordia House, 8800 SW Oleson Rd. in Portland.
