If you’re feeling cooped up, now is the perfect time to start a new fitness routine from home. These free virtual fitness classes are easily accessible to anyone who wants to get their body moving and have fun.
Many of the workouts below are hosted by small businesses. While these events are free to attend, please consider tipping the instructors. Details are included in each exercise session.
Free Virtual Fitness Classes
Cardio and Family Friendly
Planet Fitness has launched United We Move, a collection of 20+ minute “work ins” to keep you in shape. The daily videos are hosted on the company’s Facebook page. They already have a library of content for all of us who need to catch up (me included).
Cupcake Yoga
Take a quick break for a good relaxing exercise with The Angelic Prophecy on Mondays from 5:30-6 p.m. The event is hosted via Facebook Live.
Deep Dark Yoga
Yogakindarocks is hosting yoga with a side of heavy rock. Join on Sundays from 2:30-3:45 p.m. to rock out and partake in yoga poses suitable for any level. The workouts are hosted on Zoom.
Yoga + Beer
You’ll usually find this company at breweries and wineries across the Pacific Northwest. Yoga + Beer has bringing their classes to your home via YouTube livestreaming. These will be 60-minute, all levels flow classes at 6 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Grab your mat, perhaps a beverage and a fur child, and tune in! Visit their website for more information.
Zumba
To help everyone everyone to stay healthy, connected and having fun during this time, Shawn Gardener Dancing is hosting free Zumba classes via Zoom every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:30 a.m. View the Facebook event to access the live video links to upcoming 60-minute Zumba classes.
