Visit Oaks Park ScareGrounds for a scary good time this October.
During the Halloween season, Oaks Park hosts its very own local haunted attraction, ScareGrounds. As night falls, monsters of all shapes and sizes transform the beloved amusement park into an attraction of horrors.
Here are all the details about the 2024 event.
2024 Oaks Park ScareGrounds
ScareGrounds features three walk-through haunted houses open on select nights in October. Along with the haunted houses are thrill rides, sideshow attractions, games, food and beverages.
Haunted Attractions
Here are the descriptions for each of the ScareGrounds three main attractions:
Forbidden Fortress
Step into a crumbling fortress, cursed by a possessed king and his court. Journey through chilling halls, face spectral horrors and bring to life a legendary dragon. Can you escape the fortress before it traps you?
Slayers
Join the ranks as you step inside a secret organization of modern-day monster hunters. Traverse treacherous terrains and ancient realms while confronting unspeakable monstrosities and face the unknown. Test your courage, sharpen your skills and confront the most fearsome adversaries imaginable.
The Silver Scream
The projectionist has returned. Step inside his decrepit movie palace and prepare for a horrifying experience. With your coveted silver ticket in hand, prepare to be thrust into the heart of a new chilling horror marathon. Encounter the most infamous villains of horror cinema unleashed from the silver screen.
There are also nine sideshow attractions, including Oaks Park rides, The Complex: Blackout, Zombie Archery, Selfie Museum, Graveyard Shops, Buried Alive Coffin Ride, Labyrinth Games, Meet Your Nightmares, Trap Room Escape Rooms and foods and drinks.
Dates
Oaks Park ScareGrounds is taking place on select nights from October 4-November 2, 2024. Hours vary by date. Here’s a breakdown of the Oaks Park Scaregrounds dates and times:
- October 4-6 from 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 11 from 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 12 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- October 13 from 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 18 from 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 19 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- October 20-21 from 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 25 from 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 26 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- October 27 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 30 from 7 to 11 p.m.
- October 31 from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
- November 1-2 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Tickets
Tickets are available online and include additional processing fees. You’ll choose your ticket option based on the time of your visit. Ticket purchases are non-refundable and each person must have their own ticket. You will receive your tickets via email, which will be scanned at the entry gate.
General admission, which includes the three main attractions, ranges from $23 to $38 depending on the day and time of your visit and the quantity of tickets you buy. On Sunday family nights, October 13, 20 and 27, save on four ticket purchases. This deal is available for all ticket types.
For an additional fee, you can add on sideshow attractions, VIP admission, all access admission and Oaks Park ride bracelets. Rides are only open on select nights.
This year, there are also special nights, including Date Night on October 18, Pride Night on October 21, Kids Night on October 30 and Nightmare Before Christmas Night on November 2.
