Our area has many holiday events that make the season magical. Use this Portland holiday event guide to mark your calendar for tried-and-true seasonal fun and start new traditions. Pittock Mansion | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
November 25-January 4
This year, A Pittock Mansion Christmas will highlight some familiar and not-so-familiar hobbies and pastimes. Tickets are $11 for adults, $10 seniors and $8 kids.
Pioneer Courthouse Square | 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Grab a thermos of cocoa and head to the Sqaure for the lighting of Portland’s official holiday tree. This event is FREE.

November 29-December 1
Little Boxes is a citywide shopping event and prize raffle on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Sunday. Simply download the app and start earning virtual “tickets” at each participating small business. This event is FREE.
Portland Expo Center | $8 Adult, $3, Parking $10
November 29-December 1; December 6-8
Parking is $10, or take the Yellow Line Max, which drops you off at the Expo Center. Admission is free on the second Friday (December 1) with two cans of food for the Portland Police Sunshine Division.
Portland International Raceway | Times vary
November 29-January 4
The raceway is transformed into an intricate light show for the holiday season. Prices range from $20-$22 per car. See all the special nights and offers.
The Grotto | Portland
November 29-December 30 (closed Christmas Day)
You won’t believe this gem sits along Sandy Blvd. Enjoy a peaceful escape at The Grotto’s light display. Tickets are $12 adults, $11 seniors and $6 kids.
Orenco Station | Hillsboro
November 29-January 5 (closed Christmas Day)
Experience the magic of the holidays at this open-air ice rink. Adults $12 and kids $9. Bring your own skates for a $2 discount.

Weekends starting November 30
Board the Portland Spirit for a traditional holiday cruise full of family fun. Get a picture with the Cinnamon Bear and enjoy a light snack buffet. Day cruises are $36 adults/$28 children ages 1-12/$10 infant. Night time cruise from $42 adult/$32 child/$10 infant.
Oregon Convention Center | Times vary
Marvel at the more than 100 exquisitely decorated trees while partaking in a scavenger hunt, cookie decorating, holiday movies and more on Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $8 adults, $7 seniors and $6 kids. Use this coupon for $1 off admission.
Columbia and Willamette Rivers | Times vary
We love our waterways in Portland. Find a whole new appreciation for Bridgetown with the annual Christmas Ships Parade. Locations, days and times vary. This event is FREE.
Portland Playhouse | Times vary
Watch one of the most beloved holiday stories come to life at the Portland Playhouse. All tickets are $19.
Oregon Convention Center | 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This has become the must-attend holiday art and craft market of the season. Admission is FREE on Saturday and Sunday.
Victorian Belle | 6 to 10 p.m.
This icon of North Portland is transformed into a Winter Wonderland. Tickets are $8 adults, $4 seniors and $5 kids. Bring a nonperishable food item for $1 off admission.
Keller Auditorium | various times
Oregon Ballet Theatre is in its 15th season performing The Nutcracker. Tickets for the performance start at $29.
