Do you know about the Yule goat? This Scandinavian symbol of the holiday season is a gift giver who is sometimes pictured as Santa’s companion.
In the spirit of the Yule goat, start your holiday preparations at New Sweden Cultural Heritage Society’s event.
The Scandinavian Christmas Goat Market
On Saturday, November 29, 2025, head to the historic Norse Hall for the Scandinavian Christmas Goat Market. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., peruse crafts and goods made by local artisans while enjoying music, food and family-friendly activities.
More than 30 vendors sell an array of Nordic goods in a high ceiling ballroom decorated with Nordic country flags.
There’s a variety of Scandinavian baked goods and Nordic foods for purchase. In the kids area, there are Yule goat crafts. You also won’t want to miss the Christmas LEGO exhibits on display for all to enjoy.
Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for kids 4 to 15. Children 3 and under attend for free. Tickets are sold at the door and in advance online.
