Here are the participating museums in and around Portland.
Architectural Heritage Center
The Architectural Heritage Center is showcasing indigenous arts and crafts this fall created by the indigenous artists and entrepreneurs who comprise Portland Indigenous Marketplace.
The Architectural Heritage Center is located at 701 SE Grand Avenue, Portland. It’s open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education Center
This Portland museum explores the legacy of the Jewish experience in Oregon and teaches lessons of the Holocaust. The museum challenges visitors to resist indifference and discrimination through exhibitions, programs, educational resources, and opportunities for intercultural conversation.
The Oregon Jewish Museum is located at 724 NW Davis Street in Portland. It is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Museum of the Oregon Territory
Trail to the end of the Oregon trail to learn about the history of the place we call home. Overlooking the Willamette Falls and the Willamette River, the museum features exhibits on regional history documented in photographs and artifacts. Go back in time to Oregon before and after statehood, from the practices and culture of local first-nation peoples, to the industrial heritage of America’s second-largest waterfall.
The Museum of the Oregon Territory is located at 211 Tumwater Dr. in Oregon City, Oregon. It is open 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Clark County Historical Museum
For 56 years ,the Clark County Historical Museum has collected and preserved over 60,000 items of local historical significance. Current exhibits include Music, Movement and Sound, Currents of Progress, History A-Brewin’, (Her)Story and Clark Country Stories.
The Clark County Historical Museum is located at 1511 Main Street, Vancouver, Washington. It is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tillamook Air Museum
The Tillamook Air Museum is located in the world’s last remaining wooden World War II blimp hangar. View 25 aircrafts, including the F-14 Tomcat, A-7 Corsair ll, A-26 Invader and Aero-Spacelines Mini-Guppy. The Exhibit Hall features rare wartime and aviation themed artifacts from WW l to the present.
The museum is located at 6030 Hangar Rd. in Tillamook. It is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
To get started, visit the Museum Day site and search for the museum you want to visit, by state or by zip code. You are allowed to download one ticket per email address. The ticket provides complimentary general admission for two people. Simply search for the museum you want to visit, click “Get Ticket” and enter your email and name.
If you’re planning on going as a group, consider registering for additional admit-two tickets through friends and family.
