Portland Mercado is the hub of Latin culture in our city. The public market space features eight food carts and six indoor businesses representing the diverse flavors of Latin America.
The food carts and businesses at Portland Mercado are cooking up something special for the wintertime during the Winter Soup Festival.
Portland Mercado’s Winter Soup Festival
The Portland Mercado’s Winter Soup Festival is taking place January 25-29, 2023. Bring your family and friends to warm up with a delicious bowl of soup specially made by local businesses.
This year’s festival features a variety of soups representing nine Latin American eateries. The bowls range from classic favorites to unique flavors to international delights.

New this year, you can try exclusive dishes and vote for your favorites every day. The winning vendor will receive the Best Soup award and you’ll be entered to win a $100 Portland Mercado gift card.
Portland Mercado businesses will serve their limited edition menus from 11-8 p.m. each day of the event, or until sold out. Some businesses offer delivery.
The Winter Soup Festival is free and open to the public. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
