Want to stroll through 40 acres of tulips this spring? The 2025 Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival dazzles visitors this spring with its bounty of blooms. 
 
For 40 years, this Woodburn, Oregon, tulip festival has been a springtime delight with beautiful blossoms of every color framing the incredible backdrop of Mount Hood. This is a great day trip for a date, a family outing or a photoshoot. And don’t forget your four-legged family member! This farm is dog friendly.
 
Here’s what you need to know to make the most out of your trip to the tulip fest.

2025 Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival is March 21 through April 27, 2025. Peak bloom is expected in mid-April. Yet, you can see beautiful colors throughout the tulip season. 
 
The farm is open Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will also have special sunrise and sunset hours.

Festival Activities

This festival packs a lot of activities into the 100-acre farm. Some are included in your admission price while others can be enjoyed for an additional fee.
 
Here’s what is included with your ticket:
  • Access to 40-acre tulip field
  • Free parking
  • Shuttle to and from the tulip field
  • Children’s play area
  • 4-acre Wooden Shoe Gardens
  • Photo cut-out boards
  • Tulip market
  • Wooden shoe making demonstrations (weekends only)
  • Steam tractor demonstrations (weekends only)
  • Craft marketplace (weekends only)

Additional weekend activities available for purchase are wine tours, farm tours, jump tents for kids, carnival rides, food vendors, and tulip bulbs and plants for sale. For more information about hot air balloon rides, keep scrolling!

Tickets

Ticket prices vary depending on the day of your visit. Tickets must be purchased online for all visitors 13 and older. Tickets will not be sold at the gate. 

When you buy your ticket, you will choose the day and time of your arrival. Once in the festival, you can stay as long as you’d like. 

Ticket prices range from $11-$21 per adult depending on the day you visit. Senior tickets range from $6-$16. Children 12 and under can attend the event for free when accompanied by an adult with a ticket. 

Also, there are additional online processing fees for each ticket option. 

Special sunrise and sunset sessions and season passes are available as well.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

The festival has hot air balloon rides on select days. All rides are weather dependent. Choose from untethered and tethered rides for an additional charge. 
 
Tethered rides are open Friday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. The price is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. Tickets for tethered rides are available onsite on a first come, first served basis. Untethered rides are booked separately.
