Get out and enjoy Portland metro parks during free parking days.

In 2026, there are 19 free parking days at Portland metro parks, a beach and boat ramps that typically charge a $5 parking fee per car. All of these locations get you up close to our unique waterways, including the Columbia and Snake Rivers and Blue Lake.

Locations include Oxbow and Blue Lake regional parks, Broughton Beach, M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp and Chinook Landing Marine Park. View the activities available at each location below.

2026 Free Parking Days at Portland Metro Parks

Free parking days waive the entrance fee at two regional parks and three beaches and boat ramps that typically charge a $5 per vehicle. Mark your calendar for these days:

Participating Parks, Beach and Boat Ramps

Here are the locations around Portland that participate in the free parking days. Parking at all other Metro parks and boat ramps is free year-round. 

Blue Lake Regional Park

The 101-acre park with a natural lake fed by underground springs is a great place to explore. You can fish from the shoreline; play disc golf on the world-class, gold-level, 18-hole course; visit the Nichaqwli sculptures; picnic by the water; cool off in the splash pad; and play basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer or horseshoes.
 
This is a great place to visit during Oregon’s free fishing weekends.
 
Blue Lake Regional Park is located at 21224 NE Blue Lake Road in Fairview. 

Oxbow Regional Park

The park sits along the Sandy River with 12 miles of trails, ranging from gentle grades along the river banks or steeper trails up a ridge between the bends. There are some trails open to bikers. This is a great place to tube, boat or kayak. 
 
Oxbow Regional Park is located at 3010 SE Oxbow Parkway in Gresham.

Broughton Beach

Along the shores of the Columbia River, Broughton Beach is a great gathering spot on hot summer days. Go for a swim, have a picnic and go for a walk along the beach.

Broughton Beach is located at 4141 NE Marine Drive in Portland.

M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp

Next to Broughton Beach is the M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp. The park has picnic and viewing areas, wetland and wildlife habitat and accessible docks.

M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp is located at 4325 NE Marine Drive in Portland.

Chinook Landing Marine Park

With six launching sites, Chinook Landing is Oregon’s largest public boating facility. Along with boat launching, the park has picnic and viewing areas, wetland and wildlife habitat and accessible docks.
 
Chinook Landing Marine Park is located at 5201 NE 223rd Ave. in Fairview.
