2025 Lightopia: Hillsboro’s Free Drive-Through Light Display

Lightopia, Hillsboro’s free drive-through light display, invites you to enjoy the twinkle of the award-winning event this December.

It is one of the few free holiday light displays in the Portland area. Here’s how you can claim your free spot for 2025 Lightopia:

2025 Lightopia: Hillsboro’s Free Drive-Through Light Display

Enjoy Lightopia, the annual free light display, December 9-28, 2025. The light display opens 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Lightopia closes Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The event is only open to bikes on December 15 (registration details below).

The illuminated journey features an awe-inspiring number of lights and light vignettes ranging from funny to dazzling along a 1/2-mile route. The drive-through light display lasts about 15 minutes. 

Make the event extra special by having your favorite Christmas tunes playing from the warmth of your vehicle. Pack along cocoa and snacks for even more fun as you view the twinkling and festive display.

Drive-Through Route

Lightopia is at Gordon Faber Recreation Complex (Hillsboro Stadium) at 4450 NE Century Blvd. in Hillsboro. 

The easiest way to access the event is traveling north on Century Boulevard from Cornell Road. Here’s the map to help guide you:

Bike Night

New this year is a special bike the lights night. On Monday, December 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., enjoy a car-free night to peddle around the lights. 

Registration is required. Get your free tickets.

Lightopia Admission

New this year, you do not have to register in advance to visit this attraction! Just stop by on any day you want. 

All visits are first come, first served seven days a week.
