Portland Mercado’s Taste of Latin America brings together some of our city’s best Latin flavors and goods.
The Portland Mercado is the hub of Latin culture in our city. The public market space features six food carts and four indoor businesses representing the diverse flavors of Latin America. It also hosts fun cultural events throughout the year.
Here are all the details on this upcoming festival.
Taste of Latin America at Portland Mercado
Taste of Latin America at Portland Mercado is August 12-13, 2023, from noon to 6 p.m. Come celebrate with 30 food vendors, artists, and musicians representing countries across Central and South America.
This festival provides an immersive experience into Latin American cuisine and culture while supporting local businesses and Latinx entrepreneurs. At the event, you’ll also enjoy dancing, salsa dance classes and an open-air bar.

Saturday, August 12
- 12 p.m. DJ Greg Caruci
- 2 p.m. Ballet Folklorico Academia
- 3 p.m. Johnny Franco and His Real Brother Dom
- 4:30 p.m. Salsa dance lesson
- 5 p.m. Dina Y Los Rumberos
On Saturday, there is also a special after hours event at the Barrio with DJ Aloso at 6 p.m. and Espina Letal at 8 p.m.

- 2 p.m. Alta Vocez
- 3 p.m. Tequila Highway
- 5 p.m. Caicedo
Portland Mercado’s Taste of Latin America is open to all ages. It is free to attend. Food and goods are available for purchase.
