Portland Mercado’s Taste of Latin America brings together some of our city’s best Latin flavors and goods.
The Portland Mercado is the hub of Latin culture in our city. The public market space features eight food carts and five indoor businesses representing the diverse flavors of Latin America. It also hosts fun cultural events throughout the year.
Here are all the details on this upcoming festival.
Portland Mercado’s Taste of Latin America
Portland Mercado’s Taste of Latin America festival is Saturday, August 13 from noon to 7 p.m. Come celebrate the vibrant cultures of more than 20 food vendors, makers, and musicians from 12+ countries across Central and South America.
This festival provides an immersive experience into Latin American cuisine and culture while supporting local businesses and Latinx entrepreneurs.
Here’s the schedule of entertainment:
- 12-12:45 p.m. Grupo Latitudes
- 12:45–1:45 p.m. DJ Lapaushi
- 2-2:45 p.m. Ache Son
- 2:45-3:30 p.m. LuvJonez
- 3:30-4 p.m. MB Peru Baila Asi
- 4-4:50 p.m. Bachata Lesson
- 5-5:45 p.m. Gata Galactica
- 6-7 p.m. Frankie Simone
Portland Mercado’s Taste of Latin America is open to all ages. It is free to attend. Food and goods are available for purchase.
