Honor the men and women who have served and currently serve in the armed forces at the Portland Veterans Day Parade.
Since 1974, this event has been Portland’s only Veterans Day parade. It was founded by Vernon E. Ross, proprietor of Ross Hollywood Funeral Chapel.
Here are all the details about the 2022 event, including the new parade route.
2022 Portland Veterans Day Parade
The annual Portland Veterans Day Parade is Friday, November 11, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The parade has more than 1,000 participants including veterans, marching bands, youth organizations, the 1st Marine Division Association, historic military vehicles, veterans organizations, and veterans motorcycle groups.
This year, the parade has a new route. It begins at N.E. Beech St. and N.E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., travels north to N.E. Sumner St., and turns left to conclude on Sumner.
To join the closing ceremony, head to the Natural Grocers parking lot at 5055 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Attendees are encouraged to use public transit to get to the event. Parking is available on the street and at the Walnut Park Complex, 5305 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
