Free Summer Movies in the Parks

The Portland metro has an abundance of summertime movies in local parks. Find a complete list of Portland’s movies in the parks along with Hillsboro, Beaverton, Tigard, Lake Oswego, Milwaukie, North Clackamas, Oregon City, Gladstone, West Linn, Troutdale and Vancouver movie series.

Best of all, summer movies in the parks are free to attend. 

Make the most of your park movie by bringing all the outdoor movie essentials, including low back chairs, blankets and pillows, snacks and drinks, and bug repellent.

City of Portland’s Movies in the Park

City of Portland’s Movies in the Park hosts summer movies in the park from mid-July through August at parks throughout the city, typically Tuesday-Saturday on select dates. The events start at 7:30 p.m. and the movies begin at dusk.

Hillsboro’s Pix in the Park features movies five Fridays in August at parks throughout the city. Food vendors are onsite or you can bring snacks from home. Pre-show entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m. Movies begin at dusk, between 8:15 to 8:45 p.m.

Lake Oswego’s Movies in the Park hosts two movies this summer at the end of July and August. Popcorn is free to attendees. Candy and refreshments are available for purchase. Activities start at 7 p.m. Movies begin at about 8:30 p.m.

Tigard’s Movies in the Park events are taking place at different parks throughout the city. Activities start at 7 p.m. Movies start at dusk, about 8-9 p.m., depending on the event. The Parks and Rec team hand out free popcorn. There are also food vendors.

Gladstone Movies in the Park

Visit Max Patterson Park, 450 E. Exeter in Gladstone, for movies in the park, presented by Gladstone Oak Lodge Rotary Club. Movie start times vary by event. The movies are free and there is a concession stand that opens 45 minutes before showtime. You can buy popcorn, candy, soft drinks and beer, wine and cider in the beer garden.

Little Shop of Horrors

Troutdale Movies in the Park

Troutdale is hosting single and double feature movies in the park. This event uses an LED video wall so movies can play when the sun is out. There is free popcorn along with vendors with food for purchase. The movies take place at Imagination Station, 1900 SW Cherry Park Rd. on select Fridays.
